Slack Fall 2024 Workforce Index
Slack just released its workforce index, and it looks like "AI hype is cooling".
Some key elements:
17 000 workers interviewed
AI use is stalling in US and in France
Around half of the workers wouldn't want to admit to their managers they're using AI ("fells like cheating")
30% have had no AI training at all, and 61% have had less than 5 hours worth

"Women use generative artificial intelligence tools less than men do. The World Economic Forum recently published an article on the subject. It reported that 59 per cent of male workers aged between 18 and 65 use generative artificial intelligence at least once a week, compared with 51 per cent of women. Among young people aged 18 to 25, the percentage of men using AI is 71 per cent, compared with 59 per cent of women. It’s a difference of 12 percentage points, which is considerable. In this area, as in so many others, you can see the glass as half empty or half full, depending on how optimistic you are".

I havé not read the article yet, but maybe the reason why women use less AI tools than men is because it’s a men’s world sofar… BUT change is coming…
